03.16.06Give Me Something New, Motorola…So, Motorola released the PEBL in four new colors today. Am I supposed to be excited now? I am not saying there isn’t a place for choice in color, but I would much prefer Motorola actually announce something new. The PEBL and SLVR have been the only significant releases from Motorola for quite a while now, and I am really bored of them. The 4GB Ultra II is designed for photographers mainly, with 9MB per second minimum write and 10MB per second minimum read rates. The card will be in shops during March, and retail for US$293.99.

02.26.06Switching to slow(er) gear: NTP vs. RIMThere has been so much talk and anticipation over a ruling on the RIM/NTP patent infringement case, and what has it amounted to so far? U.S. District Judge James Spencer deciding against issuing an immediate ruling and instead saying he would take the matter under advisement, and release an order on the damages before the injunction. I think that this case might just be one of the biggest anti-climaxes in recent history. Not only has RIM announced and demonstrated a work-around for its Blackberry service that does not infringe on RIM's (invalid) patients, even the courts are just stuffing around thinking ...

08.27.05Trackback Spam and Site DowntimeI am being hit with a whole heap of trackback spam today. I think I have cleaned most of it out though, blacklisting some domains along the way. Good thing b2evolution (the CMS package I use for this site) has really great Antispam tools. I would recomend this package to anyone looking to start a blog. On a related note, the backend of the site is going to be updated in the next few days. There shouldn't be much downtime, if any, but if there is you now know why.

07.23.05Moved to FeedBurnerAfter all the talk about A-List linking and site readership, I got a little curious about who is actually reading this, and as B2Evolution's feed statistics are not the best in the world, I have decided to move the feed on to FeedBurner. If anyone is currently subscribed to the old feed, I would really appreciate it if you changed the URL to http://feeds.feedburner.com/Pantsland, or use the updated buttons in the sidebar. Any opinions on this change? Please post in the comments, I would love to hear from you.
