On Supporting Internet Explorer (or 50% of My Day)

Amidst Apple's much publicized release of the iPhone 3G, the company's new MobileMe service was (eventually) rolled out. Part of MobileMe is an attractive web user interface into the user's email, contacts, calendar, and files - built on a new Javascript framework called SproutCore, it is full of AJAX-y goodness. One thing really surprised me, however: Apple has dropped support for both Internet Explorer 6 and Internet Explorer 7, opting to support just Firefox 2/3 and Safari.
I wish I had that luxury.
