Motorola V3x Commentary

Kevin, a MobileBurn reader, sent this in to me the other day, and I thought I might share it around (with his permission of course).

I was playing around on the internet and noticed Motorola has created the product page for the V3x. I was also wondering what you thought of the phone if you have had the chance to use it. The phone book in the original RAZR is awful in my opinion. I was hoping they have made some improvements in this department.

Read on for my reply.

The V3x has been confirmed my Motorola for a long time now, the product page is really just a press release. It is a pretty good upgrade from the V3 in my opinion - and its about time too, as the V3 is looking VERY dated in the current market.

I haven’t specifically used the V3x, but I have used the V1150 - the V3x is just the V1150 with a different name to fit with the US market. I can tell you in the V1150 at least, the phone book is still classic Motorola.

While I do like the V3x, I think it is probably going to be a too little too late, as it is really just bringing the RAZR line up to the current standards. It does have the advantage of 3G though, which is a plus.
